Oroville girls win CWL North; Hornet boys fall to LR

Oroville girls basketball coach Mike Bourn cuts down the net after the Hornets wrapped up the Central Washington 2B League North Division title with a 44-34 victory over Lake Roosevelt on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
Oroville’s girls built 23 point lead and held off a Lake Roosevelt rally to clinch their first league title in memory.
The Hornet boys showed patience and discipline in building a five point lead over Lake Roosevelt early in the third quarter, but turnovers proved costly as the Raiders rallied in in the second half.
