OROVILLE – Oroville’s girls soccer team played its best game of the season Saturday, Sept. 29, in a 2-1 loss to Wenatchee’s JV squad.

The game was originally scheduled to be played in Wenatchee but was moved to Oroville due to persistent air quality problems due to fires in the Wenatchee area.

“The team has improved, though the outcome of the matches does not reflect that,” said Oroville coach Laura Kinman. “We are imporving on the offense and are starting to score some goals. We just need to finish.”

Katie Tietje scored for the Hornets (0-6), with Alexa Werner picking up the assist.
