Watershed planning meeting

Homework Clinic and Bible class

OROVILLE – City of Gold Baptist Church is providing after school homework help and a short Bible lesson every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon beginning at 3:15 p.m. Pastor Isenberger and Mrs. Isenberger have both worked as educators for 15 years and hold Masters in education. Meeting Reschedule

Afternoon Coffee Break

OROVILLE – The Oroville Chapter of Royal Neighbors of America will present an “Afternoon Coffee Break” on Monday, Oct. 15 at the Oroville Senior Center at 1 p.m. Physical Therapist, Casandra Hart, will speak about Osteoporosis and what can be done to help prevent it. Booster Club Auction

OROVILLE – The Oroville Booster Club Auction is being held on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the American Legion Hall. Doors open to begin silent bidding at 6 p.m. with the live auction beginning at 7 p.m. This is an adult only event. Halloween Social

4-H Alumni Celebration

OMAK – The 2007 4-H Alumni Auction and Memory Lane slideshow is being held on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the North Omak School Gym from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Donated items will be auctioned off in both live and silent auctions to raise funds for Okanogan County 4-H Leaders Council projects. CPR Class

Molson Grange Harvest Supper

MOLSON – The annual booster night Harvest Supper is being held in at the Molson Grange Hall on Saturday, Oct. 20 with a potluck starting at 6:30 p.m. The Grange will provide meat, potatoes and gravy; all you need to bring is your favorite dish. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Guest Speaker

OMAK – Reverend Jeff Ecklund will return to Okanogan’s New Life Centre to preach Sunday, Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. Accompanied by his wife, Robie, the couple uses music to minister and were members of Servant’s Heart band while living in the Okanogan area. The public is invited to attend and enjoy an open house from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Meeting Reschedule

OKANOGAN – Due to a conflict in schedules it has been necessary to reschedule the October Board of Health meeting. The October Board of Health meeting will now meet on Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Public Services Building, 1234 S second, Okanogan.

Oil painting class

RIVERSIDE – Okangoan County Artist Association (OCAA) will host an oil painting class by Western artist, Robert Walton, on Oct. 17, 18 and 19 at Mt. Olive Grange Hall in Riverside. Teen Karaoke night

TONASKET – Teen Karaoke Night is being held on Friday, Oct. 12 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Community Cultural Center in Tonasket. Admission is $1 for teens and by donation for adults. Call (509) 486-1328 for more information.

Food Handlers Class

TONASKET – A food handler class is being offered in Tonasket on Monday, Oct. 29 at the Tonasket Eagles at 10 a.m. Arrive 15 minutes early to pay the $10 fee (have exact change or a check made payable to Okanogan County Public Health). Duck Derby

Free Pumpkins

OROVILLE – REMAX Lake and Country along with Taber’s Taste of Summer will host a free pumpkin picking day Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20 and 21 and again on Oct. 27 and 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at Taber’s Taste of Summer, Hwy 97 two miles from Canadian Border. Christmas Bazaar

CONCONULLY – Conconully Community United Methodist Church will host its annual Opening Day holiday bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Community Hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items include apparel, accessories, toys and items for the home.
