Five months, ten days, eight hours

Jim Pruitt, the area’s last known surviving World War II Prisoner of War, was honored at the Tonasket High School Veterans Day assembly and awarded a certificate recognizing his service to the country. Michael Stewart and Gazette-Tribune reporter Brent Baker interviewed Mr. Pruitt about his harrowing experience as a POW.
