OROVILLE – The Oroville girls soccer team’s Saturday game against the Wenatchee JV will now be played at home on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 1:00 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for earlier in the season, and the rescheduled for Saturday in Wenatchee. Continuing air quality concerns forced the move to Oroville’s Stan Nelson Field.

Catie Arrigoni, a 2011 Oroville graduate running for Everett Community College, earned a ninth-place finish at the prestigious Sundodger Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 15. Zack Speiker, a freshman also from Oroville, was 62nd out of 237.
Oroville’s football team scored first and last against visiting Davenport on Friday, Sept. 15. But what happened in the middle turned out to be the deciding factor as the Gorillas’ pulled away to a 41-14 victory in the Hornets’ final non-conference game before Central Washington 2B League play begins this week.
