OMAK – Tonasket held Omak to 10 first half points and held on to defeat the Pioneers 54-47 on Tuesday, Jan. 7, for the Tigers’ first Caribou Trail League win of the season. Note: Tonasket hosts Cascade on Friday, Jan. 10, in a game that was originally scheduled for Saturday.
OROVILLE – Oroville’s boys basketball team showed flashes of the team coach Jay Thacker wants it to be, but Pateros’ full court pressure in the fourth quarter spurred a game-finishing 18-0 run by the Billygoats as Pateros came back for a 58-47 victory on Jan. 7.
PATEROS – Down by eight with five minutes left in a defensive battle, Oroville’s girls cut Pateros’ lead to one point with six seconds left before falling 29-27 on Jan. 7 in their final non-conference game of the season.
