SPOKANE – Tonasket ended their winning season Wednesday, March 1, with a 76-50 loss to Adna at the 2017 2B Boys Hardwood Classic at the Spokane Veteran’s Memorial Arena.

As snow continues to fall deep in the Pasayten and Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness areas, some folks are already planning their guided trip into the most remote areas of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest next summer. Some Forest staff are also planning over the winter; completing an environmental analysis of how to best provide necessary public access to these wilderness areas while balancing wilderness impacts and use in the years ahead.
OROVILLE – The Oroville Hornets made the long journey to Soap Lake, one of their furthest road games, and returned with a 50-28 victory for their trouble last Friday, Oct. 7.

OSOYOOS – The Wine Country Racing Association (WCRA) had their final drag racing event of the 2016 season on Sunday, Oct. 9 at Richter Pass Motorplex in Osoyoos. It was a time for one last kick at the can before all of the vehicles are tucked away, and Old Man Winter makes an appearance in the South Okanagan Valley.
TONASKET – This year’s Tonasket Homecoming Royalty are Queen Johnna Sutton and King Jeffrey Luna, they rode in the place of honor in a parade this afternoon, Friday, Oct. 7.

But last weekend the Wine Country Racing Association (WCRA) opened the gates to a flood of drag cars from all over British Columbia and Alberta. They needed to come see what’s shakin’ in the Okanagan.
OROVILLE – The Oroville Hornets wasted no time in defeating the Liberty Bell Mountain Lions in a one-sided home field game last Friday, finishing the night 61-12.
OSOYOOS – The Wine Country Racing Association (WCRA) is getting set to host the seventh annual Car Club Challenge. The drag racers invite car clubs from near and far to line ‘em up, race it out and see who takes home the glory for their club.
OROVILLE – Pacific Northwest Trail Days will take place in Oroville this Saturday, Aug. 6th at the Oroville City Park on 17th and Main St. This annual celebration of the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail will begin at 9 a.m. and continue all day ending at about 9 p.m.
