TONASKET – John Stedtfeld went coast-to-coast in the final 4.9 seconds and hit a short jumper at the buzzer to lift Tonasket to a 56-55 victory over Omak on Thursday, Feb. 2. It snapped a 49-game Caribou Trail League losing streak for the Tigers dating to Jan. 29, 2008, when they beat Omak 58-54.

Stedtfeld finished with 19 points, fellow senior Damon Halvorsen hit six 3-pointers and had 23 points, and Michael Orozco scored eight of his 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Tigers rallied from what had been an 11-point deficit midway through the third.
