Trial date set for murder suspects

OKANOGAN – Two Chesaw men accused of shooting and killing a hunter earlier this year now know when their trials begin. John W. Jennings and his son Adam S. Shanie Rae Marchand, 34, pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to vehicular homicide and vehicular assault. Marchand was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison and fined $1,110.50 for the Nov. 4, 2011 crimes.

Thomas L. Waters V, 23, Omak, was found guilty Nov. 6 of POCS (heroin). Waters was sentenced to 12 months in prison for the Aug. 5 crime. In a separate case, Waters pleaded guilty Nov. 12 to TMVWP. For that crime, Waters was sentenced to eight months in jail to run concurrently with the above sentence. He was fined $600.

Logan James Board, 25, Tonasket, pleaded guilty Nov. 4 to residential burglary, second-degree theft, POCS (hydrocodone) and third-degree malicious mischief. Board was sentenced to 90 days in jail for the first three counts, and 364 days in jail with 274 days suspended for two years on the fourth. Board was fined $1,110.50 and ordered to pay $3,071.28 in restitution for the October 2012 crimes.

Tia Lenee Meshelle, 24, Okanogan, pleaded guilty Oct. 7 to third-degree theft and two counts of forgery. Meshelle was sentenced to six months in jail, and fined $1,110.50. She also had two charges dismissed: an additional count of fraud and a second-degree possession of stolen property (access device). The crimes occurred July 5. In a separate case, Meshelle pleaded guilty Oct. 7 to POCS (methamphetamine). She was sentenced to six months in jail to run concurrently with the above sentence, and was fined $2,110.50 for the July 28 crime.

Adam Charles Luntsford, 39, Omak, was found guilty Sept. 19 of third-degree malicious mischief. Luntsford was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 334 days suspended for two years and credit for 30 days served. He was fined $1,010.50. A restitution hearing was scheduled for Nov. 15. The crime occurred July 5.
