  • Alex Whistlekia Elsberg, 22, Okanogan, pleaded guilty Oct. 25 to second-degree identity theft and second-degree of possession of stolen property. The court dismissed a third-degree theft charge. The crimes occurred Aug. 4. In a separate case, Elsberg pleaded guilty Oct. 25 to two counts of POCS. Those crimes occurred Aug. 11. Elsberg was sentenced to a total of four months in jail and fined a total of $3,975.93.
  • Joseph Darwin Cormier, 26, Omak, was found guilty (bench trial) of attempted second-degree assault (lesser included to second-degree assault), interfering with reporting (DV), third-degree escape and tampering with a witness. Cormier was sentenced to 9.75 months in jail and fined $715 for the Oct. 20, 2015 crimes.
  • Grace E. Schoorl, 31, Vancouver, B.C., pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to POCS (cocaine). Schoorl was sentenced to three days in jail and fined $2,260.50. The crime occurred Sept. 5 at the Oroville Port of Entry.
  • Christopher J. Valagao, 48, Vancouver, B.C., pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to POCS. Valagao was sentenced to three days in jail and fined $2,260.50. The crime occurred Sept. 5 at the Oroville Port of Entry.
  • The court issued Oct. 31 an arrest warrant for Bryan Shayne Campbell, 26, Riverside, for intimidating a witness, three counts of second-degree assault (two with a deadly weapon), two counts of harassment (threats to kill) and one count of fourth-degree assault.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Gordon Lester Dick Jr., 42, Omak, with attempted residential burglary, POCS (heroin), second-degree vehicle prowling and use of drug paraphernalia. The crimes allegedly occurred Oct. 21.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Larry Edward Siltman, 61, Omak, with second-degree rape and fourth-degree assault (DV). The crimes allegedly occurred Oct. 21.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Donelle Stratus, 36, Omak, with attempted second-degree robbery and forgery. The crimes allegedly occurred Oct. 25.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Gene Charles Olson, 43, Omak, with POCS (methamphetamine) and use of drug paraphernalia. The crimes allegedly occurred Oct. 26.
  • The court probable cause to charge Erin Leah Shoemaker, 47, Omak, with POCS (methamphetamine) and second-degree malicious mischief (DV). The crimes allegedly occurred Oct. 26.
