Criminal

  • Derrick Lynn Barrett, 34, Tonasket, was found guilty (jury trial) Jan. 14 of three counts of second-degree rape (DV); and one count each of unlawful imprisonment (DV) and fourth-degree assault (DV). Barrett was sentenced March 16 to 170 months (14 years and two months) in prison and fined $715 for the Aug. 31, 2014 crimes.
  • Raymond Valentine Dispenza, 76, Oroville, pleaded guilty Feb. 2 to second-degree child molestation and second-degree incest. The court dismissed two additional charges of second-degree child molestation, two counts of second-degree incest and one count of first-degree incest. Dispenza was sentenced to 36 months (three years) in prison and fined $600. The crimes occurred between June 12 and Aug. 31, 2012.
  • Robert James Long, 30, Oroville, pleaded guilty March 8 to two counts of second-degree burglary and one count of third-degree malicious mischief. Long was sentenced to 51 months (four years and three months) in prison, and fined $600. The crimes occurred Aug. 2, 2015.
  • Jesse Lee Coyne, 31, Omak, pleaded guilty March 15 to two counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. Coyne was sentenced to three months in jail and fined $1,260.50 for the Dec. 12, 2015 crimes.
  • Anthony Robert Jolly, 38, Tonasket, pleaded guilty March 15 to first-degree theft, three counts of forgery and two counts of second-degree possession of stolen property. Jolly was sentenced to 51 months (four years and three months) in prison, and fined $600 for the Aug. 2, 2015 crimes.
  • Brandon Matthew Herz, 29, Omak, pleaded guilty March 15 to violation of a no-contact order and fourth-degree assault. The crimes occurred Nov. 20, 2015. In a second case, Herz pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. Those crimes occurred July 24, 2015. In a third case, Herz pleaded guilty to violation of a no-contact order. That crime occurred July 8, 2015. In a fourth case, Herz pleaded guilty to residential burglary, third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespassing. Those crimes occurred July 24, 2015. In a fifth case, Herz pleaded guilty to theft of a motor vehicle. That crime occurred Sept. 15, 2014. In a sixth case, Herz pleaded guilty to second-degree theft and third-degree theft. Those crimes occurred Nov. 19, 2015. Herz was sentenced to 36.75 months (three years and nine months) in prison, and fined a total of $3,800.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Raelena Marie St. Peter, 20, Omak, with attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle, three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of third-degree DWLS. The crimes allegedly occurred March 8.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Donny James St. Peter, 23, Omak, with two counts each of second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. The crimes allegedly occurred Nov. 25, 2015.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Brett Nicolas Lawrence Gils, 25, Omak, with POCS (heroin). The crime allegedly occurred March 6.
  • The court issued an arrest warrant March 16 for Ishna Rayman Mason, 35, Omak, for three counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm; and one count each of third-degree DWLS and possession of drug paraphernalia. The crimes allegedly occurred March 6.
  • The court issued an arrest warrant March 17 for Cory Lee Craig, 28, Omak, with POCS (heroin). The crime allegedly occurred March 5. The court issued an additional arrest warrant March 17 for Craig: for two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (heroin). Those crimes allegedly occurred between Nov. 16 and 23, 2015.

Juvenile

A 17-year-old Omak girl pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. The girl was sentenced to seven hours of community service converted to one day in detention with credit for one day served; and two days in detention with credit for two days served. The crime occurred March 16.

District Court

  • Christy Lynn Merritt, 42, Conconully, had two charges dismissed: false reporting and disorderly conduct.
  • Alexander James Mills Jr., 24, Omak, guilty of DUI and fourth-degree assault. Mills was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 361 days suspended, and fined a total of $3,329.
  • Maybelline M. Moses, 30, Omak, guilty of DUI and third-degree DWLS. Moses was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 224 days suspended, and fined a total of $3,749.
  • Peggy Ann Ochoa Rosales, 55, Omak, guilty of DUI and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device. Ochoa Rosales was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 289 days suspended, and fined a total of $2,911.
  • Sarah Marie Ohmer, 43, Oroville, guilty of violation of a no-contact order, fourth-degree assault and two counts of second-degree criminal trespassing. Ohmer was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 357 days suspended, and fined a total of $2,377.
  • Sabrina Marie Oldham, 26, Omak, guilty (other deferral revoked) of violation of a no-contact order. Oldham was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 362 days suspended, and fined $508.
  • Miguel Ornelas Reynosa, 48, Tonasket, guilty of DUI. Ornelas Reynosa was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 328 days suspended, and fined $2,236.
  • Omar Rodolfo Ortiz Feria, 30, Oroville, guilty of fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief. Ortiz Feria was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 357 days suspended, and fined a total of $1,563.
  • Ameera Elizabeth Parisien, 18, Omak, guilty of minor remaining in an off-limits area. Parisien was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 88 days suspended, and fined $573.
