OROVILLE – Each February the students at Oroville Elementary are challenged by their principal to shake off the winter blahs and revitalize their involvement in reading.

OROVILLE – The Oroville High School Leadership Class, under the direction of Tony Kindred, successfully held a Safe Driving Awareness Month in January. After much organizing, calling and presenting, the students involved were able to reach out to students about driving safe and making our roads safer.

This week at Oroville High School students are celebrating the last home football game with a Spirit Week. OHS organizes Spirit week every year, but this year’s promises to be the best!

TONASKET – The Tonasket School Board looked at worst-case-scenario budget savings goals for the 2009-2010 school year during their regular board meeting on Monday, April 27.

OROVILLE – Shay Shaw, business manager for the Oroville School District, went over potential ways to trim next year’s budget in anticipation of deep funding cuts by the state.

TONASKET – With an imovie slide show and talent interspersed among the categories, Tonasket High School students and Tonasket community members were given awards during the THS Winterfest Walk of Fame Award Show on Friday, March 13.

NORTH OKANOGAN COUNTY-Wow what a fantastic fall season we have had. Our fall 2008 catalog has been the most successful yet with renewed enthusiasm for teaching as well as taking classes.
