Much happening at the CCC

We’re very excited to announce that the Community Cultural Center (CCC) will be installing an electric heat pump into the front half of the building in December. For any of you who have spent time in the building in the winter or summer, I’m sure you can appreciate what this means. It will finally be warm in the winter and cool in the summer! Many thanks to the Tonasket Community Theatre, Okanogan Family Faire, the Saturna Corp. and the individuals who have donated to this project.

So many activities are happing at the center that we are really happy about. The CCC and Tonasket High School have partnered to create an after school program on early release days. We also have teen Karaoke night twice a month and dance classes have begun for the younger children. And with a warmer building, we expect to be able to offer more activities for adults this winter too.

Our next step is to insulate and finish the lobby and hallway and install new, larger bathrooms. Our goal is to complete these tasks this winter. But we need your help. We have been aggressively seeking grand funding but all grantors expect community support in the way of dollars or donations of time or materials. The more we collect at home, the more foundations are willing to give. Please consider donating to your community center or making a pledge of money, time or materials. Payments can be made at your convenience. You can call in your pledge at 486-1328 or email the center at cccoftonasket@yahoo.com. Donations are appreciated and tax deductible.

Our goal is to finish the renovations to the entire building and have it be a source of pride in our community and a place for all ages to enjoy a wide variety of activities. Let’s make it happen!
