William “Bill” Allenby

William “Bill” Allenby passed away peacefully at his home on March 2 at 8:15 a.m. with loved ones by his side.
 Bill is predeceased by two sons, Eric Allenby and Anthony Allenby; two brothers, Dave Marthini and Joe Allenby and one sister, Mary McEntire.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Allenby, of 45 years. They were married in Clarkston, Wash. on June 17, 1972.
Bill is lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Rigoberto Guzman and his sons, Robert, Steven and Weslie Allenby; 17 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two sisters. Helen George and Julia Gustafson; two brothers, Tom Marthini and Chuck Marthini and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was born in Yelm, Wash. and graduated from Cashmere High School. Bill worked all over Washington State as an operating engineer. He helped build many of the bridges in and around the Tri-Cities area and was captain of a tug boat in Umatilla. He had many other trades from maintenance at a lighthouse in Canada to being a certified scuba diver.

After retiring, he enjoyed driving school bus in the Oroville and East Wenatchee areas. Bill enjoyed providing for and spending time with his family, mentoring his grandchildren, fishing, reading and enjoying the great outdoors.
A memorial will be held at Telfords Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee, on Wednesday March 9 at 1:30 p.m.
Pastor Scott Langager will be officating. A reception will follow at 135 N June Street, East Wenatchee, Wash.
