Peggy Appel Adams passed away at the age of 88 on Monday, August 29th. She died peacefully at Hospice House of Spokane with her son at her side.

Peggy was a delight to those around her – with a one-of-a-kind mix of kindness and humor. She was curious about everything and a very direct person. She was not afraid to ask any question – and her charm allowed her to get away with it.

Peggy was a longtime Spokane resident and an avid golfer, tennis player, bowler, knitter, gardener and animal lover. She was also a pilot. She frequently joked that she read the obituaries daily “to make sure she wasn’t listed… “

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Josephine Appel. She is survived by her brother, Jim Appel (Bellevue) and son Scott Adams (Seattle). Peggy graduated from Tonasket High School in 1945.
