Mary Morris, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her home in St. Regis, Montana. She was 74. Mary Ruth Feddersen was born January 29, 1942 in Tonasket, Washington to Paul and Agnes (Siltman) Feddersen.

She was raised at Havillah, Washington on the family farm. She attended school in Havillah and Tonasket. She married Keith Morris of Molson, Washington on June 25, 1960 at Havillah. They had four daughters and one son. In November of 1964 they moved their young family to Hooper, Wash. and remained there for the next 14 ½ years while Keith was working for the Harder family ranch. In June 1978 they moved to Ritzville, Wash. and remained there until May of 2000 at which time they moved to Slater, Colo. to run a hunting lodge. They came down from the Colorado Mountains in 2006 and moved to St. Regis, Mont.

Mary spent many years cooking for the “hired men” during the Hooper and Ritzville years which brought many “interesting” people into all of their lives. She was a loving and supporting wife, mom, granny and great-granny. She loved all of her children very much, but she cherished her grandchildren and they brought her great joy.

Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years Keith; and four daughters, Paula (Brent) Meyer, Shannon Morris, Kelly (John) Russell and Nikki (Rodel) Darnall. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ali (Jarod) Taylor, Wade Meyer, Alex Russell, Madison Russell, Will Darnall, Jess Darnall and by two great-grandchildren Tyson and Ashlyn Taylor. Mary also leaves her siblings Judy (Darrell) Bunch, Anita (Ron) Fletcher, John Feddersen, Mark Feddersen and Margaret (Dick) Olson, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Wade and by a sister, Julia Fitzthum.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to Partners Hospice-Partners in Home Care Missoula, Mont. or charity of donors choice.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, October 22 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Superior, Montana with a reception for family and friends immediately following at the St. Regis Community Building.
