Tonasket Chamber officer nominations done

TONASKET – Officer nominations were made at the regular Tonasket Chamber of Commerce meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 26.

The nominated officers for 2011 are Dale Crandall for president, Patrick Plumb for vice president and Bill Nelson for treasurer. A secretary still needs to be found for next year. Voting on the officers will be done at the last meeting of this month, to be held on Nov. 23.

During this meeting, the chamber heard from Linda Black, the volunteer coordinator for the Tonasket Visitor’s and Business Resource Center. Black said the summer was successful but with visitor traffic slowing down, the center would be closed from Nov. 1 until the spring when it will reopen. The TVBRC will still be open for organizations to hold meetings, however. To reserve the space for a meeting, people should visit or call city hall and speak to Clerk Alice Attwood.

Finally, Jean Ramsey told the chamber the Tonasket Eagles Auxiliary is hosting a catered full Chinese dinner on Saturday, Nov. 6. This is a fundraiser for the annual Children’s Christmas Party and pre-sale tickets cost $12.
