Tonasket Chamber banquet planned for Jan. 20

TONASKET – The Tonasket Chamber of Commerce has scheduled their annual banquet for Thursday, Jan. 20 at the Community Cultural Center.

During their meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 28, more details regarding the banquet were discussed. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. with the auction beginning afterward. President Kari Alexander presented the two bids she had received for catering from Lola Orr and from Shannon’s Deli. Since the bid from Orr was slightly less expensive, the chamber approved her bid. The ticket prices were set at $18, though the purchase of two tickets will be $35. For this event, the organization still needs members for the decorating committee.

Dale Crandall presented the chamber will an e-mail he had received from Tumbleweed Film Festival. The main festival is held in August in Oroville, with other festival events planned for Osoyoos, Omak and the Tri-Cities. Organizers are also interested in holding this event in Tonasket because they are very impressed with the Tonasket community and the Tonasket Chamber of Commerce.

The next Tonasket Chamber of Commerce meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 11 at noon in Whistler’s Family Restaurant.
