NVH Board plans change of hospital's top leadership

TONASKET – After a special board meeting of the North Valley Hospital Board, current NVH Administrator Warner Bartleson said the board has decided to change the leadership of the hospital.

“The board has decided for a leadership change but they have treated me fairly,” Bartleson said. “A replacement hasn’t been decided on, yet. I absolutely want the best for this place. The district strives for world class healthcare and I want that very much. I know they’ll get there and I’m really glad I was a part of it for 12 years.”

The board will be making their final decisions during the regular meeting on Thursday, April 8, which will begin at 7 p.m.

During their regular meeting on Thursday, March 25, Support Services Director John Boyd said the interior of the new hospital addition is being built and that 50 percent has been painted.

The board also voted to have two regular meetings each month for the near future. These meetings will be on the second and last Thursdays of every month and will begin at 7 p.m.

Although the board has not made their final decision on whether or not they’ll be trying to pass a bond in August to get the rest of the funding they need to finish the addition project, they have decided that now is the time to start putting together a committee of people to help disseminate information to the community.
