International board to discuss Osoyoos Lake water levels

OROVILLE – The International Osoyoos Lake Board of Control will hold its annual public meeting to discuss lake levels on Sept. 20, 2016 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Oroville High School Commons.

The International Joint Commissioners, local Board of Control members, along with the Army Corp of Engineers and the Department of Ecology will be there to discuss Lake Osoyoos lake levels. What determines a drought condition? Water sharing between British Columbia and Washington State. Management of in stream and out-of-stream water use in the Okanogan watershed.

There will also be a update on an educational documentary that is in production that highlights the common watershed that is shared by B.C. and Washington State from Lake Okanagan to Tonasket.
