Criminal

  • Chantelle Rose Mendivil, 20, Tonasket, pleaded guilty June 21 to first-degree possession of stolen property, two counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, residential burglary (lesser included of first-degree burglary), residential burglary, second-degree burglary, first-degree theft, second-degree theft and theft of a motor vehicle. The crimes occurred Dec. 2, 2014. In a second case, Mendivil pleaded guilty June 21 to attempted second-degree assault (with a deadly weapon) and attempted first-degree burglary. Those crimes occurred July 31, 2014. In a third case, Mendivil pleaded guilty to POCS and resisting arrest. Those crimes occurred May 12, 2014. Mendivil was sentenced to a total of 65.25 (5.47 years) in prison and fined a total of $1,800.
  • Jacob Scott Sutton, 19, Omak, was found guilty (bench trial) June 23 to four counts of second-degree theft and one count each of: second-degree possession of stolen property, possession of another’s ID and third-degree theft. Sutton was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 274 days suspended, and fined $1,260.50 for the Nov. 14, 2015 crimes.
  • The court found probable cause to charge BillyJoe Rosenkilde, 37, Oroville, with POCS (methamphetamine). The crime allegedly occurred April 21.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Erick Arnoldo Sandoval Ayala, Omak, with POCS (methamphetamine). The crime allegedly occurred June 15.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Dwight Eldon Backherms, 53, Oroville, with distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). The crime allegedly occurred March 17. In a second case, the court found probable cause to charge Backherms with second-degree burglary, second-degree theft and third-degree malicious mischief. Those crimes allegedly occurred June 13.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Oscar Flores Bartolo, 36, Tonasket, with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance and one count of POCS (with intent to deliver). Those crimes allegedly occurred in May and June of 2016.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Lynda Diana Fry, 31, Omak, with third-degree assault (of a health care worker) and third-degree malicious mischief. The crime allegedly occurred June 8.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Marissa Roaseann Love, 21, Riverside, with two counts each of second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. The crimes allegedly occurred June 4-16.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Ronni Lynn Sandoval, 47, Tonasket, with second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, first-degree trafficking in stolen property, second-degree possession of stolen property and third-degree malicious mischief. The crimes allegedly occurred between Jan. 1 and April 30.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Cory Lee Craig, 28, Omak, with second-degree burglary, second-degree theft (access device) and third-degree theft. The crimes allegedly occurred May 26.
  • The court issues a criminal summons June 14 for Hannah Lynn Galloway, 28, Oroville, for second-degree trafficking in stolen property. The crime allegedly occurred Nov. 25, 2014.
  • The court issued a criminal summons June 14 for Jamaree Josefina Ponce, 22, Omak, for second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. The crimes allegedly occurred April 16.
  • The court found probable cause to charge J. Gagnon-Rouillard, 22, Canada, with three counts of POCS (one each for LSD, ecstasy and methamphetamine). The crimes allegedly occurred June 22 at the Oroville Port of Entry.
  • The court found probable cause to charge Jonathan Dubuc-Leduc, 23, Montreal, with POCS (LSD). The crime allegedly occurred June 22 at the Oroville Port of Entry.

Juvenile

  • A 16-year-old Omak girl pleaded guilty Nov. 18, 2015 to second-degree burglary, third-degree theft and possession of marijuana by a person under 21 years of age. The girl was sentenced June 8 to 18 days in detention with credit for 11 days served, and fined $100 for the Oct. 5, 2015 crimes.
  • A 16-year-old Omak boy pleaded guilty June 8 to fourth-degree assault (DV). The boy was sentenced to 13 days in detention with credit for 13 days served for the May 10 crime.
  • A 13-year-old Omak girl pleaded guilty June 8 to minor in a public place exhibiting effects of liquor. The crime occurred May 31. In a second case, the same girl pleaded guilty June 8 to possession of marijuana by a person under 21 years of age. That crime occurred March 31. The girl was sentenced to a total of 10 days in detention with credit for six days served.
  • A 14-year-old Omak girl pleaded guilty June 15 to minor in a public place exhibiting effects of liquor. The girl was sentenced to 15 days in detention with credit for 15 days served for the May 31 crime.
  • A 16-year-old Omak boy pleaded guilty June 22 to minor in a public place exhibiting effects of liquor. The crime occurred May 27. In a second case, the same boy pleaded guilty June 22 to attempted second-degree assault (strangulation or suffocation) (DV) and harassment (threats to kill) (DV). Those crimes occurred June 1. The boy was sentenced to 30-40 weeks in custody of the state Department of Social and Health Services Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration, and fined $100.

Civil

  • The state Department of Revenue assessed The Phoenix Star, Tonasket, $800.71 for unpaid taxes, fines and interest.
  • The state Department of Labor and Industry assessed Home Services North West, LLC, Tonasket, $3,528.83 for unpaid workers’ compensation taxes, fines and interest.
  • The state Employment Security Department assessed the following individuals for overpayment of unemployment insurance benefits, fines and interest: Rebecca Noyes Ortuno, Omak, $163.08; Thomas Best, $332.52; Brian Shull, Oroville, $332.52; Ashley N.
