Central-Cherry street and water project starts

OROVILLE – The City of Oroville wants to notify nearby residents living on Central Avenue, Main Street to Cherry Street and on Cherry Street from Central Ave. to the Cherry Street Bridge the a street and water project will start on Monday, April 14.

Construction to replace the water main on Central Avenue from Main Street to Cherry Street will begin on Monday, April 14, 2014. Excavation will be in the parking lane on the south side of the street. The project also includes shoulder grinding of existing pavement, intersection sidewalk ADA ramp improvements and pavement overlay. Cherry Street will also have some grinding, with pavement overlay. The streets may be closed to through traffic frequently.

The project schedule is 37 work days, and will be between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.
