Do all we can to save hospital

Dear Gary,

I can no longer stay silent about our great hospital here in Tonasket. Maybe I am naive about many things that transpire at the hospital, but I can’t believe that I am the only one who supports them fully.

Still intend to seek recall of NVH Commissioners

Dear Editor,

To the North Okanogan County Community: By now, we are sure you have heard about the withdrawal of our petition for recall of all Okanogan County Public Hospital District #4 (OCPHD#4) Board of Commissioners. After listening to the judge’s reasoning regarding his ruling on the preliminary injunction to stop the closure of the Tonasket Assisted Living on Tuesday March 19th, our realizations of some procedural errors,

NVH Commissioners need to see bigger picture

Dear Editor,

I think the Tonasket Hospital Commissioners need to realize the bigger picture. They have been on county warrants and this involves the whole county. Are there those of us out there that would support the continued use of warrants to support any of our hospital systems, if they were being run efficiently? Without a doubt.

Hearing a study in contrasts

Dear Editors,

I don’t know if you guys were at the hearings for Hospital District #4 but the audience was a study in contrast. One side of the room was the defense with their smug smiles and dressed to kill happy to be there on the taxpayers dime, including their attorney.

Salary raises were unconscionable

Dear Editor,

I can no longer remain quiet on the issue of the Assisted Living closing in Tonasket. After sitting back and observing and reading about what is taking place at the hospital, I feel compelled to address the hospital board and all the high paid administrative staff. To all of you I have only one question: How do you sleep at night?

Who was in control of court?

Dear Editor,

Though, I don’t live in the district the Tonasket hospital is in, it interests me because one way or another it touches our lives, be it monetary, a little bit of something citizens all over the country are standing up to, an example of integrity vs entitlement syndrome, etc. Going in with nothing but my interest, I left with much frustration and some serious concerns with the behavior of ma
