OLYMPIA – Oroville Contract Liquor Store No. 565 is now open at a temporary location at 2311 Main St. (north of NAPA) in Oroville. A permanent location is expected to open by January 2009.

The original store, which was located at 2002 Main St., closed after sustaining extensive damages from a fire that broke out May 18 at the auto repair shop located at the west end of Max’s Service Center, which also housed the liquor store, an insurance agency and auto parts store. Over $94,000 in inventory from the liquor store was destroyed in the fire, according to state officials.

The summer hours for the temporary location are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The store phone number is (509) 476-2532.

State and contract liquor store and product information is available on the Washington State Liquor Control Board Web site at www.liq.wa.gov.
