OROVILLE – Heather Rodriguez will be doing manicures and pedicures at Leah Cathryn Day Spa in Oroville.

She and her husband Victor moved here from California 20 years ago.

“We have enjoyed raising our boys her where they could enjoy our beautiful nature and experience all four seasons and now we have a beautiful granddaughter to enjoy all this with,” she said.

“I attended Aesthetics Northwest in Bellevue and am now a licensed manicurist. I am working at Leah Cathryn Day Spa offering a variety of manicures and pedicures. Later, after we do a little remodeling I will be offering nail extensions adding a gel or acrylic overlay to the menu and with a little more practice I’d love to incorporate some of my nail art work,” she said.

Rodriguez says she takes pride in the quality of her work and strives to do her best.

“Because cleanliness and your health are important to me I plan on furthering my education obtaining a Medical Nail Technician license which advances my training in safely working with clients who have diabetes or other health concerns.”

Leah Cathryn Day Spa will be having its grand opening this Friday and Saturday.

The business, which features massage, tanning, mani pedis and a gift shop, will be having its grand opening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30 and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.

“Drop by to enter our drawing for a Coach purse…no purchase is necessary,” suggests Leah Colbert, owner of the Day Spa, located at 809 14th Ave. in Oroville.

“Get a tour of the spa, cookies, coffee and tea are available. Plus, we’ll have great sales on gift certificates, tanning packages and products,” she said. “While here you can also meet Heather and see what’s new.”
