Rena Gunn, 37, Omak, pled guilty to third degree DWLS and DUI. She was sentenced to 90 days with 84 suspended and 365 days with 360 suspended and fined a total of $1,781.

Jorge Alberto Alvarez Urapo, 19, Tonasket, pled guilty to Minor in Possession and/or Consumption of Alcohol and Reckless Driving. He was sentenced to 180 days with 175 suspended and 180 days with 165 suspended. He was also fined a total of $1,343.

Nicholas Gilbert Andrews, 23, Okanogan, pled guilty to Disorderly Conduct. He was sentenced to 90 days with 81 days suspended and fined a total of $303.

AND THEY’RE OFF - The start of the boys CTL Cross Country Championships held in Chelan last weekend. Lake Roosevelt took home championship honors for the boys and Chelan was the top finisher for the girls.

Chelan takes first place in Caribou Trail League

CHELAN – Chelan’s Lady Goats cross country team took home the first place trophy in the Caribou Trail League championships held in Chelan last Thursday.

CHS runners dominated the top 10 finishers in competition with runners from throughout the league. Chelan’s Gaby Guillen of Chelan finished second with a time of 18:32; Mari Schramm took fourth with a time of 19:26; Lindsy Fox finished sixth with a time of 19:58; and Sara Waszkewitz took ninth at 20:24 to lead the CHS girls varsity cross country team to a first place team finish with 28 points.
